The City of Minnetonka issues liquor licenses for establishments serving liquor.
When the city receives an application for an on-sale liquor (restaurant/hotel), off-sale liquor (retail) or brewery taproom license, the city is required to hold two public hearings to consider the application.
At the city council meeting, the mayor will open the public hearing and continue to a future date (at least 27 days after the first). The public is invited to speak at either hearing or submit comments on this page, which will be included in the meeting packet. Meeting dates are subject to change.
A liquor license cannot be transferred; a new application is required.

BSA Liquor House LLC, has submitted an application for an off-sale intoxicating license at 11048 Cedar Lake Road. The application is due to a change in ownership from the previous licensee, Mekha LLC. BSA Liquor House LLC, plans to continue the liquor store’s day-to-day operation with no immediate changes to the store or hours of operation.

Abang Yoli Minnetonka, LLC, has submitted an application for an on-sale wine and 3.2% malt beverage licenses in the space formally occupied by People’s Organic Coffee & Wine Café, 12934 Minnetonka Blvd. The applicants propose operating an Asian fast-casual, counter-service restaurant. The restaurant is scheduled to open in May/June.

The city has been notified of an ownership change at Unmapped Brewing Company, 14625 Excelsior Blvd. In October 2016, Unmapped Brewing Company, LLC, was granted an on-sale brewer’s taproom and off-sale liquor license for growlers and small containers. The original owners operated the taproom until February 2025, when a founding board member and head-brewer became majority shareholders. The new ownership will purchase the business once the licenses have been approved. Unmapped Brewing Company, LLC, plans to continue the taproom’s day-to-day operation with no immediate changes to the brewery and adjoining Basecamp coffee shop.

Super Yummy Tasty Food, LLC, dba as Fork’D, submitted an application for an on-sale intoxicating and Sunday on-sale intoxicating license in the space previously occupied by WineSide (formally Champps), 1641 Plymouth Road. The applicants proposed operating a fast-casual sit-down restaurant. This will be the second Minnetonka restaurant location for the ownership. In 2002, the applicant opened Bacio that is also located in the Bonaventure Mall. The restaurant is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.
