Libbs Lake is approximately 22 acres in size with a mile of shoreline. It includes a public beach and channel that flows into Gray's Bay. The management plan will provide current information about the lake, identify potential issues and opportunities for the lake, and set goals, priorities and strategies to enhance lake protection over the next ten to twenty years.

    A neighborhood meeting was held in early December, with city staff, project consultants, representatives of the Libbs Lake Association, and lake residents participating. A copy of the presentation can be found here and in the Document Library on this page.

    At the meeting, resident input was requested to help inform the plan. A draft plan is expected to be completed by March 2024 and will be made available for feedback on this site. Please take the Resident Input Survey to provide your own feedback about Libbs Lake. We appreciate your input!

    City staff, in collaboration with representatives of the Libbs Lake Association, are hosting a neighborhood meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 to gather input for a Libbs Lake management plan. The purpose of the meeting is to:


    • Educate residents about Libbs Lake, including current water quality trends and aquatic plan management activities
    • Gather feedback regarding what residents value about the lake, what concerns may exist, and goals for protecting the lake


    Input gathered will be used to develop a draft plan to help protect this valuable resource. A draft of the plan will be shared on this site and at a future meeting to gather input and feedback.
